406 HDi estate mini review

It's no cross country weapon. I went into a bend at what would be the normal speed for the ZX, and I came out of it a good 10 miles an hour slower than I went in. And for some reason it thinks I'm having an emergency when I brake hard. You also fall out of the seats if you try and go round corners quickly.

OTOH it's quiet and my usual motorway routes seem to take less time due to the fact that immense concentration isn't required to maintain speed, and I'm not being rattled to bits. It does however, make some unpleasant diesely noises.

The radio / cd sounds quite good. Listening to Free Bird on it loud may result in driving which is incompatible with the general design of the 406 though. It also appears to be almost impossible to make it go the least bit sideways.

Do you find the seats are very comfy though?

Pretty comfy. Need a bit more lumbar support in my book. OTOH that could just be my s**te posture due to studying solidly for the last few months...

Lynard Skynard??? Doesn't that song have a four minute guitar solo or something? The solo alone is about a minute and a half longer than almost half the tracks on my ipod...
