In fact, I didn't know anyone was actually from Cumbernauld. I thought it was a made-up place, like Royston Vasey or Milton Keynes.

Originally from here but was living in Aberdeen for about 5 years.
I do know quite a few people from Cumbernauld. As a new town, the transport infrastructure was seemingly designed for keeping people in. There's probably a good reason for that. Much like Royston Vasey in many respects.
