Anyone for offroading?

Bet someone is pissed off the Dakar was cancelled.

If interested in such: wait a bit.

Paris-Dakar has been cancelled: the market is flooding with high spec off-roaders which are pretty ... useless for anything else than rallye- raids.

There are allready some (at least 2) companies, specialised in that area, which went belly-up.

A brand new Toyota Landcruiser Raid: ordered about 9 months back for the PD-raid. 400 kEur "investment" (that's car only, no support, no fuel, no entrance fee).

Sponsors withdrew after cancelling, even threaten to sue; the tuner/builder was not paid completely and had a fee per special-stage- completation. The Toyota (only testing has been done with it) is for sale... 100 kEur.

Sad thing.

Hmm, I hope the builder of *this* car isn't affected; SHP build the chassis, supply the panels etc. for our pickup and the owner runs the race series... At least he builds a range of stuff; T-cars, National Hot Rods and more, plus some specialist military vehicles.

It looks like the thing in this auction was built and paid for and is now being sold, I think
