Christmas Burnout

After watching Brian Sewell's burn-out on last week's top gear I decided I'd have a go myself, and nicked off down the Manby multi-storey for some tire smoking action.

My friend works at a major gas company (AIR PRODUCTS!!) and managed to get me some NOS. Nitrous!! Trouble was, he could only get it stored in fire extinguishers but more on that later.

I was using a 1987 Montego auto (with sport mode), ex-Ebor Cars, 2.0L K series, ferguson super-sound in car entertainment - you couldn't go wrong.

I was on level 4 (for anyone that knows it - it's got great views and I've had a few birds up the wrong 'un up there). I digress.

Anyway the engine was hot, and she was in SPORT mode. As I could not have a direct nitrous injection system I had my affiliate pointing the fire extinguisher at the air intake.

A crowd of about 20 or 30 had gathered and adreniline was flowing fast.

3,2,1 pedal to the plastic, and fire extinguisher going... got a burn you would never ever see in your life... amazing total black-out of the lights in the M-S. The guys were loving it.

Trouble came when my mate fell over and started pissing himself laughing, and slurring his words. Then the Monty inexplicably shifted into second and the tyres blew (it was most embarrassing driving it back to Kwik Fit on its rims).

My mate was pissing himself so much I had to reverse over him - he didn't do it again.

Anyway, the Monty's fixed up now so no doubt I'll be having more fun in her over Xmas.... oi oi!

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can rig extinguishers up to the fuel line?

Also - noticed knocking noise at low revs when accelerating away from the lights after the B-O - any ideas?

Your joking right? You went to quick fit in a nice classic like that!!! You better get under the car and have a look for the damage they did jacking it up.

Next time remember to put the good tyres on the front before driving home if you blow them up again.

Another classic "kieth burton" story, keep them coming :))
