Dan.

I could be mistaken, but I'm sure it was in the deep south.

Heheh, maybe it was coventry?

I remember certain members of the Northern contingent at Wetwang (think it was mainly Dan and Tim) ripping it out of me for considering Peterborough to be up North (when I was much younger)....

Seriously though, I remember Nom's real name was Simon (that's how he got the screen name Nom - reversed the end bit of his name), and the only Simon on Dan's facebook friends list is his bro, so he might or might not be in the loop. Though I do remember that he was a friend of Dan's from the real world, so he probably is, like Doug says.

Cambridge! I've been browsing my MSN Messenger archives.

Shandy enough.

I never knew what the guy's real name was, heh. But as you say I'm sure he knows. If not, the first person to make contact... well... you know the score.

Oh s**te. Always read his posts, always seemed a nice, genuine guy. For what its worth, RIP.

unfortunately Dan passed away this

I might be wrong but I have a feeling that Nom's actually Dan's brother? When I bought the 620TI off him, I'm sure the V5 had the same surname as Dan. And I'm sure Dan referred to his brother's 406 V6 Coupe (the one I went with Nom to pick up so I could drive the TI home). And he moved to Cambridge and hardly drives it now as it is somewhere you cycle/walk instead of drive.

RIP Dan

Very very sad, after a fight against an agressive adversary.

unfortunately Dan passed away this

Nom is Dan's brother.

This is why I'm fairly sure he'll know about Dan's passing.

Aye, good fella, glad he got to do the euro tour a couple of years ago, we spoke about this at much length.

RIP matey.

I genuinely did not know that. The two never told me. :-x

I hadn't realized things had got so bad for him recently. Sad news.

Hey folks, long time no see.

I've just been reading the two Dan threads - I am indeed Dan's brother. Dervy's just pointed me here.

There's not much else to say that wasn't summed up in the two Facebook posts - he was very peaceful at the end :(

Thanks for your support - I'll send some of your posts on to my folks.

But only for a year.

He returned, and graduated with a 2:1 degree in Business. I remember being very proud at the time.

That would be true :)

There's a whole load of cycling and walking to be done around here ! But you can still find a good beer, I've stumbled across a niche of southern shandy drinking, er, ale drinkers..

Hi - hope all's well with you (recent news aside, obviously).

Cheers. I don't think there's a single regular here whose thoughts aren't with you guys at this time.

There are also several ukrm regulars / ukrcm lurkers with the same sentiments.
