Well, it doesn't seem to do much from where I'm sitting.
Loads of 'no longer available' messages when I try to open postings.
Any suggestions for news servers ?

I had to reset the local file before Windows Mail would pick up new = postings.

I just signed up and can't even connect.
Works fine for me.
Gravity comes back that the server name is correct but not directly reachable.
Tried ports 119 and 563, with and without secure authentication.
Its working fine for me. You can't just change the server name though. You basically need to reset the post count or set it up as a new server rather than hoping to get away with changing the server name.
I'm using Gravity. Worked fine here. Set it up as a fresh server though.
Got it eventually.
Basically purge everything already there and it seems to work now.
Indeed. Everyone who is having problems are trying to "get away" with just renaming the server.
Yeah, deleted it and set it up again. Working now.
Nice reserve server for if/when the german server goes down for repair.
I've replaced the german server as it's faster.
I'm happy to support them with a couple of euros a year as they gave me really good service when they were free.
news.individual.de costs 10 euros a year but well worth it.
