No it won't, it *will* still be something that about as attractive as something my Dog's dig up from the top of the garden.
It will also still handle like a barge and accelerate like a kid on a push bike.

You're presuming that these mods will be declared.

What is this fascination with BarryBoys ?
I suggest you go and, er, get a life !
No, it was s**te.
Well they would have been fantastic, had Peugeot not been using the natty all-alloy 165bhp 1.9 16v lump since 1989 !
Good point, well made... but if you're that desperate for more power, you'd be better off buying a 2.0GL or whatever, rather than fecking about lobbing an 2.0 8v in a 1.8., and insuring it as a straight motor.
it's a generic supposed_to_be_funny response thats really statring to annoy be TBH, as much a the car in question is a shed it's a meaningless and boring reply.

ROTFL...
Just because something else is good (note, I say 'good', not 'better'), it doesn't make something else s*it.
It was made by Vauxhall :)
Of course it does. The goodness of everything, is relative :)
A family sallon? Is that, like, a larger-than-average hairdresser's car?
Yebbut, in Rob's defence, that's all he ever said it was.
One of the few things they managed to get right.
Right? It's a cack car.
Please elaborate.
yes obviously, you stupid or something? :)
my MR2 is all of those and does 1/4 mile in 13 seconds with the later engine ones making it in 12 standard! that's pretty fast :) well fast enough for me
We weren't talking about a car.
F****it.
LOL, downhill with a rolling start and a strong tail wind maybe :-)
The Mi16 was no faster than a Vauxhall GSi tho, and a hell of a lot less reliable (1989 'F' is the year that the red-top also came into production as well).
It's worth mentioning that I've personally known quite a few of them to benchmark at up to 165bhp as standard. One of my own old Cavaliers (a Mk3 CDi which I put a GSi engine in) way back in '95, put out 159bhp on the rolling road :)
