I remember them arriving...

Alfa had been cheerfully knocking out 130bhp 2l 4 for years when along come Toyota announcing a 148bhp 2l 4.

Alfa go and blow the dust off some 60s racing tech and have the 149bhp vvt Twin Spark in the shops by the next Tuesday.

How we laffed :)

Unfortunately they only come in Alfas, which puts them out of the running as a serious proposition unless you're a weirdo freak.
