Old S never really appeals to me, for me an S is about the technology (unless you're being driven around) so it would have to be a current model.

Now if I had the money, an S65AMG with everything would be an instant "yes please"

It doesn't look that way to me...

You can't count or read or just got plain distracted (though not enough to not see the original engine). It's got a BMW V12 slotted in there! One air filter on each side, rod across the top to link the throttles. You can just see the W of the BMW on plenum behind the quadrant at LHS of picture. May not have been as easy or factory as it looks as it's got a remote oil filter in foregound on that shot.
