Heh.

I've yet to get mine up on two wheels actually... I've not really been trying though to be fair.

Hmmm...

1.7 FRP spec Puma lump, or 1.6 RST. YKIMS.

Puma lump is the one I was thinking of.

Not too keen on RST lumps, due to reliability etc.

Has anyone stripped one right out and fitted something like a Hayabusa engine yet?

I've done a few RST conversions into Fiesta's and Escort's and not heard anything back regarding broken engines. Before they go in they get a full set of lifters, reprofiled cam, belt and a water pump, though. Don't see an issue with them if you do the same yourself. 160bhp in a Ka would be....erm....fun, to say the least :)

Solid lifters... aye, they'd be a worthy addition to any CVH, even a cooking

1.3 ;-)

Don't think so. There was a Rallycross one a while back, but obviously that's got f*ck all to do with a road going one really as they only kept the bulkhead... Most Ka owners don't do much to them.

Yeah, a high performance version. She obviously turned off the experimental 3d stability control that keeps the whole thing upright when you floor.

Blimey... and these people drive on the same roads we do.

Aye, but there does seem to be an element out there that do.

There was one on ebay earlier in the week that had been turbo'ed... why anyone would turbo the OHV 1.3 I don't know, but I did note they mentioned it had been rebuilt twice in the time they'd known it, so I guess that says it all. :-)

It had something like a massive 81bhp apparently, which lead me to wonder 'why bother?'.

Anyway, I reckon one with some real poke would be great fun... til it ended up on its roof, anyway. ;-)
