Have you driven it?
I bought one with 16" that was lowered and it handled like crap on the road.
It's ok now though as I dismantled it for the engine and other bits then sent the shell away for scrap. :-) lol.

17" of alloy, approx 1 and a half inches of tyre. Will ride like s*it.
Bwahahahaa!
No, piloting the nose heavy, powerful mark three Golfs requires a lot of skill. It's all too easy to wash out wide in the corner but lifting off causes a scary ass end moment.
Don't confuse your own decision with chassis brilliance.
Is the Cinquecento still being sold? :-)
Hence why I said 'half decent driver'.
I've driven a Corrado VR6 and got out wondering what all the fuss was about - it was totally planted, granted it was a bit nose-heavy, but I can't see how a MkIII VR6 can be too different.
It'd certainly be good enough to see off a Ka no matter how twisty the road.
*cough* You do need to update your opinion if you somehow believe that the mark one Golf GTI achieves an acceleration time to 60 of 7.3 seconds.
Except that your figure is wrong.
They've actually taken closer to four seconds off the time.
This is only half of the story. Don't get me wrong, I love the original Golf GTI, but it is nowhere near as quick as the modern machine however you measure it.
But aren't Corrados based on the Mk2 Golf chassis, not the Mk3?
Peter
It may well be, if you like quick in a straight line but nose heavy in corners.
So to sum up, are you much of a fan?
Peter
ISTR it was a hybrid of the two. However, that's even more reason for a Corrado to be a nose heavy car with s**te handling, which it wasn't.
Have you considered learning how to drive a proper car, rather than a shopping trolley?
The Panzer is a squidgy barge of a car, but it doesn't stop me chucking it around as if it were a hot hatch.
Hell i've managed to chuck a round a Rover 827i Auto in the past, it may be scary, but if you try hard enough, its doable ;)
corrado's are a hotch potch of bits, most of the rear suspension i belive is passat, and corrado's are much much much better than MK3 golfs, end of.
The Saab (rattly skuttle shake convertible) isn't that much slower than the Celica round roundabouts, it just isn't as nice and flickable and flat.
Although new shocks, springs, rear ARB, assorted bushes did that for the Celica.
This is precisely why I like a light nose weight machine. You don't get it do you?
Bollucks it does. Next you'll be telling us that the Alfa Romeo 75 is so quick there's no point in you entering motorsport competitions.
Yes, I love them.
Reminds me of one of my old Rover SD1s with shagged rear shocks. Could chuck it round S bends at unbelievable speeds as long as you could put up with the back end bouncing round the corner instead of driving round it.
Aye - comes with a complimentary hook and chain so you can get a tow off lorries up hills and in strong headwinds.
..if you can't drive/plan ahead etc.
In news: snipped-for-privacy@news.individual.net, Conor decided to enlighten our sheltered souls with a rant as follows
Heh, knackered self levelling.. one of mine did that...
