Everything has its place.

Dokis opinion for example, should be in the bin.

It helps if you actually ride them if you have them, mind...

Given that the main arterial road from the valleys down to Swansea looked more like the River Taff than a dual carriage way this last few days, I think I'll pass on that.

Bloody 'fairweather riders', tsk... ;-)

Fair weather pussy ;-)

Someone sell me a nice 600cc+ bike please. Preferably a fast one, that looks cool, won't break down, and is cheap. Or just give me an RSV Mille R.

You want a CBR600 you do. Top bike, had one for years :-) Haven't got one for sale though, trying to find a reasonable priced one myself!

You are right for once, just try going away with 5 people and luggage on a motorbike.

Oh FFS.

Ever heard of the concept of having a half decent car, *and* bike?

Best of both worlds.

Top right pic. Seats four and has a boot. :-)

You would have to see it to believe how fast your mates girlfriend can mist up a double adult sidecar all by herself when he takes a non optimal line though a roundabout.

Heh, did he lift the sidecar? I always liked that for the shriek factor.

There's a lot of cars where that would be either/ or and not both. And quite a lot of nice ones that are purely 2 seaters. In fact nice cars that can do that don't exist by my defintion of a nice car so you are comparing a bit of a barge to a bike.

I do about 12,000 miles a year, 11,000 of them by myself.

So it costs 11 to 32 times as much to meet the 5 people with luggage and have motorbike performance criteria. And first set of traffic lights you come to the bike filters to the front and F's off. Car's may average 8mph in London but bikes do at least double that.

R55 AMG, I can't find a price for a car that doesn't seem to be available yet. No R listed here.

having seen the spy shots it's an excessive POS and epitomises allthat's bad about so many current vehicles. Too tall to handle unlessyou are comparing it to a dumper truck or Commer van. What good isall that power if the ESP/DSP/whatever has the brakes on all the timeto stop you rolling it? If you want the comfort of home, stay athome, don't try to drive it down the road.-- Peter Hill Spamtrap reply domain as per NNTP-Posting-Host in header Can of worms - what every fisherman wants.
