And for sale on a regular basis.
That article and the ones in yesterday's papers all said they were based on Fieros and Toyotas and that the new woners knew what they were getting.
Apart from being a story about building fake ferraris in Italy, it doesn't really sound any different to the type of stuff you could go and find on ebay right now if you wanted to.

Yes, there's loads of them about and totally legal too. We call them kit cars or replicas here.
Most replicas for sale on there are normal BMWs made to look like M versions , and the mankiest Sierra Cossie replica I've ever seen..

That would depend on if the moulds they are using are from a genuine Ferrari or if they were moulded from scratch. Somehow I expect the MR2 355 and Pontiac 328 replicas just like Countach and Diablo replicas are based on moulds taken from a real car.
