should sort everyhint out with the dealer for you and offer 100% contribution to the repair/replacement cost due to it being a known issue
could even push for a goodwill gesture tward the battery cost as well :)

Wow, that's a big swing and a miss. It's not up to me to fix someones CD player, it's his own fault for buying a s***ty Vauxhall in the first place.
