Remus If I can give you some advice, by all means get the nexis, smoke it round for a year or 2 and get some no claims under your belt, leave it standard, then buy somthing when your older and wiser and can insure it.

Putting a Peco big bore 4 or somthing on a daewoo is just what you normal mcdonald chavtastic racers like doing, and most people here frown on that sorta stuff, its only cus we are old farts who look at people in these cars and think omg.

Its up to you what you do with your car, but people are trying to point you in the right direction from the beginning, but if you still choose to go this route, you will just spiral into a world of whale tails and stick on body kits.

We will help you, but try and make it tastefull, and think first.

A key point here is the dismissal of such chav cars is definitely not down to jealously...

You forgot the stick-on headlight covers and self blacked rear lights.

It was... and I sadly admit that I'd gladly own it myself, given the chance.

You can make anything fit, within reason - in all seriousness, you're better off going for a bespoke system made by someone like Powerflow.

They make the exhaust to your spec, whilst you watch.

But given the value of your new love, probably better not to spend more on an exhaust than the rest of the car, when you could just save the money, drive the Daewoo for a year or so as, and then sell it to buy something more sporty as standard.

FWIW, I still think you're a burberry totting pikey...

;-)

Remus, stop taking things so personally. At the end of the day it's your car, and as long as you like it and have the common sense to know that it isn't anything particularly great, then that's the main thing. If we all waited for the "approval" of everyone else on this group regarding our choice of cars we'd probably all be walking.

That's Steve.

Thanks :) You see I didn't go out looking for a big bore 2, I just got offered it. What do you reccomend I do?

I recommend you leave it as is, just a normal run of the mill daewoo, the save your pennies and get somthing you really want later on, when you got like 4 yrs no claims,

hehe, i'll take a pic of my daewoo today and post it on the photo thing. I think i've got a pic of myself that I took for my msn avatar somewhere, i'll see if I can find some burberry... :)

It's really difficult not to take it personally though when you have got some in your face calling you a "knob head". I guess when it comes down to it, I do kind of want your approval because your my peers, since i'm proberbly the youngest person on the group atm? But I get what your saying.

Already thinking it :(

Exactly my point of view, do to your car what you wish make it look, sound and drive the way YOU like so long as it's not:

A) dangerous. B) so loud that it's inconsiderate to drive within 3 miles of population at night. C) has Peco anywhere on it. ;)

It's your car make it the way you want it to be, but if you ask on here for advice be prepared for some "lively" comments.

Apparently Peco are better now lasting upwards of 6 months.

I would say if you want to put an after market exhaust on then do so but as with everything in life if something is worth spending money on then spend enough to do it right first time as doing it on the cheap will just cost you more in the long run. If you want a loud exhaust go to powerflow and get a custom made one as loud as you like it and with a life time guarantee as long as you take it to be checked by them.

Not really after somthing loud as such, just somthing that looks better than the replacement I will have to buy since the current one is damaged.

Don't. Seriously. If I had a penny every time I'd been called that or something similar, I'd have, like, around ten quid by now. People insult each other all the time on here - take it with a pinch of salt.

How old are you? There are a few younguns on here - I'm 23 (probably not the youngest, though a long long way from the oldest!) - DanTXD's around

21-22ish I think, I'm sure there are others. Though I have been wasting bandwidth since I was around 17 or so.
