Trying to get myself some archery kit, bidding on some stuff that will=20 give me upgrade room later, instead of cheap and nasty training stuff=20 that isn't compatible with standard fittings, it is going for fair=20 prices, but I've lost 4 auctions now, losing by less than =A310.
so my pricing is close, but some bugger is out sniping the master sniper=20 on shooting gear. Not nice.

Gave up on the bay for now. Went and bought new from a place in Leeds with a good rep. So now I'm fully equiped and a paid if member of Bowmen of Warrington=20 and GNAS(Archery GB). Turns out, while the stuff I was shooting at the=20 club was adequate size/length wise, after seeing my shooting stance they=20 have recommended a slightly longer arrow, and longer bow limbs, so I'm=20 now shooting a 70" bow instead of a 68". Still using 30lb limbs like I=20 planned (up from the 26lb I was shooting on the club trainer bow), but=20 that is measured at 28" draw back, and I'm drawing arround 30". On the=20 bow scales, at my draw length, it was showing 35lb.
I stopped short of buying carbon limbs and arrows, fancy arrow rests and = =20 silly sights, and went with one of the stock, but well specced total=20 kits, where it is the same price, whatever size/weight you need and they=20 cut the arrows and choose the limbs weights and lengths to suit you=20 after they see you shoot and take measurements.
I'll go back to the bay when I need so more arrows or heavier draw=20 limbs.

Best bet is to do what I did and do a 6 or 12 week beginner course. The missus got me my 6 week course for my 40th and I needed to wait=20 until June to get a place. After the first day I knew I would be joining=20 the club. Now I have the equipment, the only outlay is =A38 a month club=20 membership + =A340 a year GNAS affiliation that covers your for insurance= =20 incase you injure someone at a club shoot, or lose an arrow and someone=20 falls on it (as long as you report it as lost) and I can shoot 3 times a=20 week for that.
