Dose anyone have any info on a possible Softroader from Jaguar? I saw a camoed up mid sized 4x4 thing around Ashborne today that had a distinctive new jag style to it, though the badge looked more ford like, so it could have been a Kuga.
OT Jag Softroader?

Having had a look the Kuga looks smaller than what I spotted.
Jag promised a softroader when they were bought by Ford, but supposedly they didn't have the money to develop one.
It wasn't a Jag.
It possibly could have been a Kuga or a Volvo XC60 though.
Another Land Rover Maestro mule? That could be said to look a bit like a Jag (XJ40).

Well the last one is also a Ford, but still doesn't look very much like a Jag.
The Volvo's camo makes it look distinctly Jaguar-ish from some angles, particularly in the glass profile, so it may well have been that.
Any Jaguar / Land Rover prototypes currently out on public roads are so subtly different from current production models that it'd take a keen eye to spot them as being anything unusual, and even then there'd be absolutely no question of what it was.
There's a few other car manufacturers doing R&D in the UK though, Nissan and Honda springing to mind, as well as Ricardo doing a lot of work for some of the Far East manufacturers.
