I'm after a nice-looking, easy to use, Web Image Gallery template type thing. I like the look of the gallery that Ronny uses

), where you get that from Ronny?

Anyone else know of one that will auto-thumbnail and things like that? One that doesn't require much/any coding from me, because I'm crud.

Many thanks

Dan

Buy my hosting it comes free with it :)

The gallery is Gallery2 which is a free application, and works on most apache installations.

I could have predicted that. ;)

Crackin', thanks. I'll have a look-see now. :)

Hmm, long-shot here Ronny. I'm going through the gallery install, and get to the database setup bit (Step 5), and it wants a username and password to connect to the database. I've got MySQL on my space, and used phpMyAdmin (MySQLAdmin isn't available) to create a new blank table. At no point did I put a username/password on my database or table, and there doesn't seem to be anywhere to put one. I've tried using the username and password I use to access my control panel, but that doesn't work either.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Dan

hmm, do you have cpanel?

If so just create a new database call it the default name, no need to create a user as your cpanel username will be admin already, then just add those details to the install.

That's why it pays to buy my hosting, it's all pre-installed, these people will cut corners :)

fwiw I am moving all my accounts to one server, co located by ZEN Internet, this should all be complete by xmas, I am moving away from the US servers, so all accounts will be transfered, around 250 now :)

Bah, I've got cpanel on one account but not on this one. I'll either get it upgraded, or move to you when it expires. Zen used to be my ISP about ten years ago, when I was on dialup to their 01706 number! Large phone-bills ahoy!

Just cut your loses and pay the £10 to me, it's not like your paying for a new tv lol
