there's an MR2 turbo with this done, looks damn cool on a MR2 as they have the half cut doors, thing is though the hydrulics that hold it up are so damn strong you have to pull really hard to get the door down again!

i'd do it but the price is far to much for what it is.

If you look at the kit, its just nuts, bolts, some wire and gas shocks plus four bits of metal.

The cost to manufacture can't be more than 100quid, and IIRC these kits were about 2 or 3 times the price a year ago. The price has got to come down some more. If the kits included a proper extension loom then they would sell so many more of these.

If everyone had them the Asda car park would be a lot safer.

I sometimes get steel laser cut for the car i`m building. I recon it only would cost £30 to get the metal cut, and £20 for second hand gas struts from a scrappy. Then whatever for the hinge. Less than £100 quid def.

I for one really like them. They suit a lot of tastefully modded cars. I think they are a nice mod. overpriced, and in 6 months time they will be over done....but nice.

Certainly more functional. I'm slightly put off by the idea that people might imagine I was trying to make my car look like a something or other.
