Sorry, seemed to forget to post anything. Passenger arch a bit scabby and need to check the headlight bulbs/relay but drives so sweetly.

Just need to flog the monster now (I mean the celsior).

Pulled the relays, pushed them back in and checked the bulb seating. All headlights working good now.

Nice. Job one down.

I like that a lot.

Couldn't afford to run it though, but we all have different circumstances.

It really reminds me of our old one, apart from that being a 2.0 CSE.

Well, I filled it up with BP Ultimate (the tank was empty, fuel light=20 on) at bloody =A31.20 litre (buying fuel in the boonies does that) for 65= =20 litres. And the miles to go reading never went below 400 even in 30=20 minutes of stop start rush hour on the 43 miles home. And it hasn't even=20 made a dent on the fuel gauge. The Celsior would drop visibly on the=20 gauge in 40 kilometres and I reckoned it had a distance of between 400=20 and 500 kilometres to a tank. When I first the Celsior that needed a=20 full tank and I put in nearly 75 litres.

The colour is growing on me.

I think I will. Just need to build up some clutch leg muscles.

I'm going to check the retro-rides thread I started, see if anyone has=20 shown an interest, then nip down to the local pikey "We buy cars for=20 cash" place as the boss drives an LS400 that he was advertising for=20 =A32500 when he tried to sell it.

If they don't want it, it is going back on the bay of all things shiny,=20 where it came from with a buy now or best offer. Anything I get back makes the aero even cheaper. Changing the insurance=20 over cost nowt as there is less than a month to go, and the renewal=20 quote on the aero is =A3150 a year cheaper than the celsior.

Yep. And I plan to Jenolite the outside of the scabby arch and pump some wax oil behind it until I decide whether it is worth properly fixing, or drive it until it gives up.

Don't know how tight the suspension is, but it feels really sweet after the US style boatyness of the Celsior.

Trust me, that Celsior is more boaty than most of the Yanks I've driven. Wayyyy more wallowy than something like a Lincoln Towncar. It is, however, on a par with the '70 Cadillac Fleetwood I drove in the 'States years ago.

i would snap up the celsior if a) it didn't drink more than a scotsman and b) i had the money :)
