Anything that isn't fitted as standard is a mod. Theoretically they could void your insurance for different floor mats or adding an air freshner... :o/

" How is a 'boost guage' a mod ? "

Anything additional to your car can make it more desirable to steal. Kids would rather steal a MK5 Escort with a full Cossie kit than a standard MK5 Escort, although the kit doesn't make it any faster.

But my economy manifold pressure gauge is a knackered speckled brass BOC O2 line pressure gauge, I had put a nail though the blocked flame trap and move the needle round to 15 psi so it reads approx abs and not gauge. It just rests against the steering column with a strategic cable tie. Doubt it's tempting to anyone.

Think that's bad - you want to see the Amstrad printer status led and online/FF/LF switch engine check light monitor and mode selector! Blue tack is just great!

Depends on the claim hit an expensive car knocking it into a group of pedestrians and there could be a very big claim, the bigger the claim the harder they will try to get out of it.
