Fiesta is really bad.

Impossible to read all caps in black on blue background for the citroen, plus the photo is blurred.

Seat, what dogs? From the slightly blurred pic there seems to be a pair of attractive young ladies in front of the car. Was that pic taken at Ultimate Street Car I wonder? Max Power's Olivia was there and she is ROUGH in real life. She kept staring at me, probably to check out if my 'fro at the time was real (it was).

I reckon the Nova is OK as it is a complete and professional looking job. Still a wanky nova though.

If it was black, i reckon it would be quite good, nearly :)

Quite tastfull for a modded nova, no massive spoiler and I've always been a fan of porsche peppermint green.

Standard F2 kit, you will normally find them all over the place. Not too keen on the sound of a kiwi green interior.

This is more like it stickers under the M3 mirrors. Not going to comment on the

3 spokes as I have just purchased a set (not a set like that) from ebay.

Ah my eyes, my eyes I'll have to burn my monitor now! Actually if you don't look at the front it's not too bad.

I think it's the green that saves it, if it had been black then it would have needed to go "Xtreem" to get noticed when the driver is flexing and winding . Sorry I can't keep a straight face even typing that good thing I don't have to say it to someone.

In article , snipped-for-privacy@recycle.bin spouted forth into uk.rec.cars.modifications...

Maybe not if he is with Liverpool Victoria and over 25. Mate has a Nova that has "unlimited mods upto 250BHP" (I have seen the certificate, and he made so many smaller ones they agreed a special premium) and he has gone the 2 litre route.

Agreed insurance premium £250 fully comp, no limit to mileage.

There's the magic word - appears - it's amazing what a bit of Photoshop can do. I've seen those two, actually I think they were in front of the car, and they're not attractive close up.... Well not unless you like that sort of thing (no, not the image in the picture, how rough they look when you're close up).

Porsche Mint Green. That is so 1993. Other than that, the car doesn't look bad at all, the shell appears to have been properly painted.

Blah, you can get much nicer non-trashed examples for the money. Pointless. Girls don't look that appealing, either.

I want to get an Austin Princess and do that Fast 'n' Furious 'logo' thing on the doors.

Chums Saga Sterident (I think? Something for Dentures.) Mogadon Depends (maybe the Fast N Furious ones need those anyway, for the passengers)

That is just an astonishing pile of shit. I can see the owner is off to a flying start on their driving career - someone should do the UK a favour and report the insurance fraud ;)

And yet - the damn thing has reached more than I would value a K-reg Fiesta in mint condition at.

The corsa lump is 16v, puts out more power as standard and is much easier to tune to higher levels of power as it's very restricted initially. Over 200 bhp is fairly easily achievable if you've got the cash.

The Corsa GSi lump is a 16v as well. Has about 3 extra BHP as well. Not much difference when it comes to on the road times though.

I think people generally think of the old GSi engine as a better one than the Ecotec.

Me, I don't know as I've never driven a Corsa GSi.

I am told improving the restrictive air filtering on the 16v 1.6 Ecotec can easily get it up to 150 bhp. No idea if the GSi engine can do this?

Quite possibly - Vauxhall are reputed to have very deliberately restricted the 1.6 so as not to shame the 1.8.

In the Corsa, it's quick but only when you can find a gear...

The GSi lump is 16V

I mean a Cavalier GSi unit so *No* it doesn't put out more power as standard. It puts out the same amount of power *as standard* as he has now, with less effort and a hell of a lot less cash.

I'm flabbergasted. 1500 quid start bid for a 16 year old Nova approaching

100,000 miles, which is more than I would expect them to reach.

Amazingly - someone has bid. Even more amazingly, the reserve hasn't been met yet. They might just as well call it a "valuable collectors car".

The rest are getting bids, too, even the 15 year old, 170,000 miles citroen ax managed 600 quid so far. I'm in the wrong business.
