Thanks, It's got 80k on it and it's 8 years old so need one doing. Now. I got a price of 160 at my usual garage to do the job (assuming no tensioner or waterpump replacement)


I think I've figured out what the problem is. The immobiliser isn't always recognising the key.

these do suffer with immob problems we get it s*it loads at work on clio's and megane's of that age, i've never been about when the tech's come down to sort it though so not much help soz! some citroen relays had a similar prob but easily fixed as you can bypass the immob in about 15mins lol great security!
