Yeah, but that is a proper CRT projector, rather than a CRT TV isn't it. If I was going to go that route, I would probably go all geek and lash up a MythTV box with a pair of DVB-T cards, a couple of terrabytes of storage and a Blu-Ray drive , and an OHP based backless TFT projector and get HD through DVI, and a seperate external sound gear.
That is the kind of project I like to tinker with.

It'll certainly appear to have a very good picture - you're sitting well away for the ideal viewing distance even for SD with a screen that small.
Then you apparently know better than those working in the industry. Only thing LCD is likely to beat an average CRT in is geometry.
