Aye, I can imagine those roads could be quite a giggle in the dry with an MX-5 - I'm thinking the road past Dolphin School from Twyford, the Twyford Road out to Waltham St Lawrence, the twisty bit after that that you bear right onto instead of carrying on to White Waltham, and Beenhams Heath/Drift Road type area. And the A330 through Nuptown towards near the Stirrups.
