Ha, you lot are pussywhipped :-) My missus likes me driving fast when she's in the car..

Yeah I know, you had nothing to do with it. We all made it the most unscrupulous dodgy car dealing yard on the planet. I find that kind of funny. (c:

I didn't. I know for a fact they wouldn't. The boss just bought his missus a Lexus RX Hybrid to replace their old petrol one. It had the usual chips, and even being a couple of years old, they wouldn't respray it, just do a better than average touch in. For an 8 year old car I was expecting an everage touch in. You will be amazed how well you can do a touch in though, but it generally takes longer than a panel respray when you have more than a couple to do, especially with metallics. This is Platinum Ice (Sparkly silver to you and me) apparently the silliest colour to match. but as they weren't budging on giving me bugger all else, so I got arsey. I even went out to check if the wheels needed any work as they had been replaced under warranty in the past for corrosion.

There is one more scratch, looks like a keying, on the black paint of the door frame/pillar. I didn't spot it on purchase, it might have been done by a jealous passing pikey who couldn't kick off the mirrors because they were folded and too small a target when pissed after I got it home. I might tackle that myself with cocktail stick, thickened gloss black then T cut, or I might just get some stickon carbon covers. One tricky but original looking, the other quicker but costlier. Might try one, if that doesn't work try the other.

I like the chrome dial ring kit. Then, £20 of LEDs will change the dial colours.

But I could go as far as a TTE supercharger kit, the Camcon VVTi controller can increase low down torque and improve fuel consumption at the same time.

Go for some budget coilovers to lower it a little, or splurge on Teins with EDFC (bet I don't), either go for a bigbrake kit to go under the

17's or just get some decent grooved brembos and ceramic pads. For my driving the later would be the cheapest option.

Then of course there is Wheels in Motion 4 wheel alignment. Costs less than a set of tyres, but they reckon (and Lexus owners who have had it done agree), they can make a set of tyres last 3 times as long and improved the handling.

But for now, I'm going to love it, service it, and plan simple stuff like a bluetooth kit and maybe an aux in cable for a USB stick as the second disc changer. The old chrome ball gearknob is scratched from a wedding ring, or I could fit a small chrome skull. Would look just like a ball until you looked closely and would match the skull and roses I have for the parcel shelf.

There's one exactly like that near us - if you take it fast enough you can just skim the drain crater with the front wheel and the rear wheel has all the weight off it so sails over the hole.

So far, anyway...

It was fine, 'twas a rear drive car, and a rental, that we'd been treating nicely for a few weeks. Was oddly the front offside that shredded, causing a big thunk as the thing nosed into the ground and the rear went from drift to wobble and then just ground to a halt on the hard shoulder.

We rang the rental company involved and got it replaced - must have been a faulty tyre. Its replacement developed a faulty differential a couple of thousand miles later...

When my mum was commuting daily to Leeds to visit me during my treatment, using my 206, she arrived one afternoon and said "Last night on the way home I got an annoying whistling through the vent and found if I went 5-10mph quicker it went away - has it always done that or do I need to take it to the garage?". I knew full well this whistle was between about 100-105mph heh, and kind've skirted round the "How fast were you going?" but once I'd said it had always done that, but only when it was winndy outside (no idea why). Then she said I shouldn't be driving that fast, I should do as she says and not as she does and also it was fine because it was like 11pm, the roads were empty, and she thought she could talk herself out of a speeding fine using the old "I was upset after visiting my son who's on chemo"[1]

[1] We were once being held in a huge queue on the way home from hospital as the police were holding up the traffic to clear an accident. I felt really sick, so mum waved frantically at a copper who came jogging over and mum explained the situation to him, and he just showed us round all the traffic and round the accident mess :-) Ok, I was still cold, bald and feeling sick, but I got home an hour earlier than I would've hehe.

Yooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

oi mind my alloys! lol oh wait you own it now so err kerb away
