If you think of the MX5 / Miate / Eunos as spiritual successor to the MGB, then yes, it makes complete sense.
the MX5 handles though where the MGB didn't if what people tell me is true. i'd love to Chevy V8 something one day, gotta be done just for that V8 noise
Heh, my mate got given an MGB GT - it didn't handle at all (it was very old) and the brakes were so bad, stopping from 60+ was virtually impossible.
It's all relative.
In 40 years time, people will be slating the handling / braking performance of the MX-5.

Is that J Leno in the picture? He likes wierd machines and has a jet turbine bike and pickup truck I think.
That's my kind of bloke. Level with the top of the windscreen is just where you want your air filter :o)
I'm not sure the Miata fuel tank'll be big enough for quater-mile runs though...
