What are Volvo 850 Diesels like?

But diesel engines, like jet engines can run on many things. And some of them are legally VAT/Duty free.

As I would be running pump derv/veggie mix, fuel would be approx 75-80p a litre.

Yes, but the emission control and injection systems can't.

Veggie oil powered cars run cleaner than both BioDiesel and dinoderv. It is common for MOT testers who test a lot of cars running high percentage SVO to enter "alternative fuel" on the emissions test to protect their own backs because the readings can be so low as to arrouse suspicion if the ministry were to do a spot check of the logs of testing.

Mixing upto 50% will be fine with most bosch/toyota pumps, the injectors handle it. Even over winter. Lucas Cav pumps eat themselves, but the injectors are fine.
