** Now-a-days, the libs have made the whole freaking country so PC that it's
** not a lot of fun sometimes.
Kate, it's worse than that here in Sucky California.
Around here, it is standard procedure to AVOID females in the work place, period. And I do mean, AVOID them. We have even been ordered by Management that we will be fired if we so much as change facial expressions in their presence. I swear this is true.
We cannot speak to them either in person or by radio, EVER, out of fear of both being fired and the company being hit with a multi-million sexual harassment suit.
Who wins with this bullshit? The gals feel alienated and avoided, and the guys are disgusted with all this nonsense. When the gals come within speaking distance of the male co-workers, all talk immediately ceases. Guys roll their eyes and walk away from each other and away from the gals. The gals get PO'ed and do anything/everything they can to embarrass or humiliate the guys, even to the point of lying to management out of sheer frustration, because no one will talk to them.
It's not just the libs anymore out here. It's anyone/everyone involved in this nonsensical scam. The only one smiling about this are the lawyers.
Would I speak to a female co-worker on the job? Hell no - I don't need a lawsuit filed against me if she ever gets pissed off about something and decides to LIE about some perceived come-on. Would I ever *assist* a female driver if she were on the side of the road and needed help? HELL NO! One cross word 6 months later, and it's off to court we go. I won't risk my job or my house to help someone who may stab me in the back later.
And who loses all of the equality they've fought hard to attain since the
60's? The gals, all of them. They've all basically shot themselves in the foot with all of this nonsensical sexual-harassment bullshit, and now they're paying the price. As a guy, I resent all of it. It's tough enough to just get the job done these days, without having to PUSSYFOOT around the gals.
Can't we just all get along? God, I hate California, and I can't wait to get the HELL out of here.
