Pinging

Well... got another can of Seafoam cleaner today. Put a tiny bit over 1/3 into the PCV valve. I'll be damned if it didn't smoke like a SOB. S***ty thing is... I saw smoke coming out of the first catalytic converter on the passenger side. Oh well. I planned on getting a new H-pipe anyway with hi-flow cats. I poured the rest of the Seafoam into the gas tank (which had

91 octane in it). I followed instructions... shut it off for 5 mins.. restarted it.. smoke came out. I hammed the piss outta it & smoke stopped coming out after a little bit. But I heard pinging. Boy was I pissed. So I go to gas station & put in 89 octane instead of 87 or 91... and pinging is *completely* gone on 89. Going to try 87 next time. I only put in a little gas to mix in with the seafoam (which I guess was too strong with such little 91 octane.. 2 gallons in there max.).

You are not very firm on that.

Are you sure?
