question concerning new exhaust

May 25, 2004 7 Replies

I just had a bbk x-pipe with cats and an american thunder (flowmaster) put on my 97 cobra and my check engine light came on after a few miles. I was wondering do I have to do something else now? By the way it sounds great. cobraboy 97 convert

Could be a coincidence, or it could be that one of the O2 sensors were damaged. You did plug them back in right??? LOL j/k Like he just said, get the engine computer codes pulled. Mike MuscularMustangs.com

One's on its way? What kinda sensor is it? LOL. If it's an O2 sensor, it should be readily available at a local auto parts store. Be sure you clear the codes after you install a new sensor.
