I failed inspection on the ball joints. I have the Pathy up on stands and cannot get the same (noticable) vertical deflection the inspector showed me at the garage. Is it correct that I have to put a pry bar "somewhere" between the wheel and joints? Is this to "loosen" the ball joints so I can move the tire by hand to see any deflection?
I had the ball joints replaced about 2 years ago, and have driven only
25,000 miles on the new ones. It seems early for them to go out since the original-stock ball joints went 115,000 before needing replacement. Is this "early" failure unsual?
TIA for any tips, suggestions, comments.
