1999.5 Pathfinder AC Control Light Replacement

Dec 30, 2003 2 Replies

I have a 1999.5 Pathfinder SE and the switch for AC (there is a green lit button for recycle air on the left and a blue lit button on the right for AC) does not lit anymore. What do I need to do to replace the bulb? Do I need to take apart the dash completely for this?

Thanks,

Sam

Hiyas Sam,

I dont know directly, but I can tell you how to find out ........ buy a Haynes manual for your car. It should give you a exploded view that you will be able to determine your answer from .

I have a '96 PF SE and my recirc. lamp has been out since I bought my PF a couple years ago. I own a Haynes manual for my PF and it does not show exploded views for the A/C unit.

Also, after I bought my PF I went to a local Nissan parts shop to try to order a replacement lamp for my recirc. switch. The guy let me see his exploded view diagram to a certain point and said he found the lamp. He ordered it and it turned out to be one of the backlight lamps for the A/C unit.

Anyways, I am in the same situation as you Sam. I'm actually not sure if Nissan sells just the bulb. You may have to buy the whole switch. I will continue to research this again for my PF and let you know what I come up with. Also, I would appreciate any info anyone else out there may have on this matter.

Randy.
