hydraulic clutch adjustment

is there any site's that offer a help, tip's or manual view of adjustments on nissan auto's? i'd like info on adjusting the clutch on an 89 hard body pick up, i see it's hydraulic and can't remember how to adjust for the actual clutch engagement, i can barely get it in gear now, i'm hunting fluid as i type :)...

You can adjust the pedal but not the clutch. There is a threaded piston connected to the pedal. Loosen the lock nut, and you can then turn the piston which ever way necessary to move the pedal where you want it. However, it sounds more to me that you have a problem with the pressure plate, or you could also be low on hydraulic fluid. And as with a brake system, the hydraulic clutch system can get air and/or water in it and require flushing and/or bleeding.

it was the fluid level, sheesh, heh, i'd forgotten how to bleed a clutch and called the locial nissan shop for a refresher, the clutch did engage at the very top of the pedel now it grabs a few inches off the floorboard, humm, i had the wife pump the clutch half doz times and held the pedal to the floorboard and bled the fulid from the bleeder valve at the trans...
