Richardson is about 250 miles from Houston. Not a routine commute. Richardson is a North Dallas suburb.

Have you tried calling a local (Houston) Nissan dealer and getting a price quote? This is probably a dealer only part.

Courtesy is good. Mention that you want the "Internet discount" or you won't get it.

AFAIK, the brake cable will be "order only" at most dealers. If you are in a hurry, go to the local dealer and tell them you need it ASAP. Dealers have two ways to order parts: right away and slow boat. They order parts for cars in the shop under the "right away" method. Orders from customers go slow boat unless you ask (Saves them money). If it has to come from CA it will always take some extra time.

I ordered parts that were not in stock at the time I ordered. According to the dealer, they were coming from Texas. I assume they have another warehouse in Texas, as well as the main one in California.
