remote central locking primera (uk)

hi, i have a '99 primera (p11-144).

the range on the remote central locking is getting poor.

i know the batteries need changing, when i replace them is there a procedure to reprogram the key? if so what is the procedure? i only ask this as i had a ford mondeo and if you changed the batteries in the key you had to reprogram the key.

nope..just pop the new batteries in and away you go. I don't recall having to re-program the key on ford's either but nevermind.
