'00 Altima spark plug spec for a '99?

Question

The 2000 Altima manual and 1999 Altima manual differ in their specifications for spark plugs. The 2000 recommends using NGK PFR5G-11 for spark plugs, while the 1999 manual specifies NGK FR5AP-10 for spark plugs. Does anybody know of a reason not to use the 2000 year specs for a '99? Would it be better or would there be any harm to use those specs? While the '00 car is essentially the same as the '99, there were some tweaks to it to bump up the acceleration and horsepower. Both spark plug types are platinum and look like they have the same heat range.

The models also differ in the 2000 recommendation for power steering fluid being Nissan PSF II while the '99 is Dexron III.

I have an '00 altima as well. The spark plu is between 8.00 to 15.00 depending on the website. Does anyone have a good site to look at. I've looked at

Try  (or  same place).I've been using the NGK IX Iridium plugs on a '99, even though theyare spec'd for the '00 model. I also changed out the wires to NGK fromthe OEM Autolites. Everything's running great so far.The iridium plugs didn't increase gas mileage near as much as changingthe front oxygen sensor at 60K did... which is good preventivemaintenance, and you can get the exact OEM Bosch equivalent at $60 orso, half the dealer cost.Tim C.'99 Altima GXE'90 Passat'87 Lynx GS'80 Citation notchback
