Check engine light

I own a Nissan Maxima 2000. A few weeks ago, the check engine light came on. I went to Checkers and got the readout - the code was P1320 - I think the text that went with it was like "ignition or misfire". A few days after that, it went out and stayed out for at least a week. On friday, the light came back on - I was sitting at a red light, and the car sort of shuttered a little bit, then the check engine light, TCS ON, and one more light (forget text for this - it's no longer on) came on and stayed on for the duration. Subsequent startups and it's just the check engine light on.

I don't want to go in for unnecessary "repairs". Is this anything I can look into myself? I did notice that both times, I have filled up the tank the night before, and the next day, the light comes on. Can this be mere coincidence? The gas cap is on tight. Think I should try replacing it?

Thanks in advance,
