Daytime Running Light Module 92 Maxima GXE

Hi group

Can anyone suggest where I might find the Daytime Running Light Module on my 92 Maxima GXE.

The daytime running lights seem to to turn on and off on their own accord which I can observe when following another vehical. It does not coincide with any obvious bumps in the road, so I am thinking that this module is suffering from the same maladies as the door look timer and digital clock (bad solder conns maybe). The headlights seem OK and the non common item seems to be this module.

TIA Michael

You will find the module to the immediate right of the fuse box. You can access it by removing the panel under the steering column. I've got the same problem with my '89 Brougham and diagnosed it the same way (reflection in vehicle in front of me!) Also, when I listened closely, I heard a click coming from the vicinity of the module at the moment that the light went out. I just did this job this evening and am planning to track down a replacement module tomorrow. I also removed the clock but haven't decided yet if I'll try get replacement or re-solder the leads. Hope this helps, even though it's a month later.

Thanks Dell

I will check it out this weekend. Its pretty damp here on the wet (west) coast of Canada, so I also had the clock and door timer unit problems which can be fixed with a little solder job. I dont know if the daytime unit is a solder fix or a replacement but driving with one day time light bugs me. Thx again

Michael
