I have a 1996 nissan maxima, the oil light comes on very dim, no leaks and the level is full any help would be appreciated, thanks

On "very dim" sounds like an electical problem. First I'd unplug the sender and see if it goes out. If it doesn't, then you probably need to start troubleshooting with a meter.
