I've had the exact same problem, last winter (jan 03) the CD player suddenly started skipping everytime i started the car in the morning. It took 2 months to have the another one order from Nissan. That one worked fine for the year and then in nov-03, the left speaker started going oout way to ofter(only in CD player mode), got a new one again from Nissan and now its starting to skipp again. I am considering putting in an aftermarket player in there......
