hi, Need your attention. I have 306 TD 1.9 1999 model, when i turn on the ignition, there is a negative sign with numbers like -300 and a sign of spaner on the upper left corner. would you please tell me what it is about and how can i get rid of it. Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance.

I think you will find it is indicating the mileage until your next service is due, there are instructions in the owners handbook on how to reset this IIRC

Many thanks for the prompt reply. When I bought the car last week it did not come with the manual. So still I cannot reset it. Is anyone please have that manual to let me know how to reset it. Many thanks in advance.

Easiest way I found was to pull the main fuse for a couple of minutes.....

As you have no manual....

When you turn on the ignition (and the orange glowplug light comes on), hold down the mileage trip reset button until the counter counts down to

0, that will reset your service interval counter to 6000 miles. It's a pain in the arse, as Peugeot changed the interval shortly after my car was made, so it's out of step anyway, plus I ignore the interval and have an oil change every 5k and alternate between minor/major service every 10k.

Hope that helps.

have a service, then your mechanic will put it out, or maybe you can't see the benefits of replacing your engine oil.......
