Any fuses blown? Is there an immobiliser and does this have to be reset after the battery is disconnected?

Does it have a factory fitted immobiliser?

Jim

yes it has factory immobiliser, how would you reset it if thats whats needed.

Lift up the rear seat base. Put your hand under the back and up into the rear seat in the centre. You will find two connectors in there. Disconnect the two of them and reconnect them - if you have an alarm it will `bleep` - try to restart again.

many thanks to those who helped. sorted problem, was plug at base of injection relay ( mounted on rear of ecu ) was not fully home, must have knocked it while fitting S.motor.
