rigth guys and gals...

just brought a pug 307 rapier hdi 02.. warranty just ran out .!

Took the car down the jet wash and after washing the wheels its popped up with abs fault and the dash.. took the car down the local garage to be checked and they came up with o/s sensor... so we had it changed with no effect on the problem..still there. what can be the problem with the bloody thing.!!! The guy at the garage mentioned something about a vsu unit under the dash that can sometimes get full of water thus causing it to throw the fault up..? He?s checked the hubs ect...

Please help.. b4 i burn it.!

We don't get too much trouble with 307 ABS apart from the sensor! If it happened after a jet wash, and I hope you didn't jet wash under the bonnet, then maybe water got into the ABS ECU unit under the N/S headlamp. Or maybe water got into the BSI unit under the fusebox. The only other thing I can think of is a dirty hub bearing, which the sensor uses to get its information from. Try cleaning it with a lint free cloth but be gentle!

No doubt that your problem is due to water ingress into the electric/electronic systems. In my users manual (danish) Peugeot warns against the use of jet wash just for that reason. Please let us know how it turns out.
