The dodgy connector on the blower fan of my 406 is driving me mad....I've been cleaning up the pins and pushing it back in for the last 6 months but it is finally beyond further repair. The shell is badly burnt so I thought I would chop it off and replace it. Trouble is, I cannot seem to get a replacement shell, and the (4.8mm I think) female receptacles that they use are a much higher power variety than the standard ones.
The shell isnt a big problem, as you can just push the receptacles in without it, but the ones used are a high power variety. Anyone know where to get these from? My local pug dealer was useless, and Halfords had nothing. I've got some standard 4.8 receptacles, but they are only designed to crimp a 2.5mm sq cable. I reckon Pug use a 6mm cable. This seems just another example of the way Pug under specify electrical inter-connections.
