99 grand am headlight replacement

does anyone know how to remove the large black plastic trim piece that runs the width of the front of the car above the headlights in order to replace the bulb?

thanks

you shouldnt have to remove that to replace the bulbs

what should i do then? cuz the manual says you need to remove ot first

You pull out the push-pin retainers. If you are unfamiliar with trim push-pins.....umm, well they are like tiny plastic carpenters anchor bolts. The center pin needs to come out before the outside anchor piece. After removing all of those, and the large trim piece/cover, there should be two plastic retainers holding the back of the headlamp assembly to the car. Slide those up, and the headlamp will come out allowing acces to the bulbs. GW
