Once again I reach for the " Bible " on the top shelf...................
I got a listing for a 1956 Chieftain Custom Safari Wagon, 122 inch wheel base, 2 door, 6 passenger weighting in at 3,632 pounds. Cost $ $2,569 and production was 4042.
Cheiftain Wagon - 4 door, 9 passenger is 3,707 pounds. $ 2,653 Production 12,702
