Vibe Auto Locks?

So.. how do you like your Vibe so far. I hope to go and do a test drive soon and decide if I would like to buy one.

Well, my sister has one and I also rented one to drive to Miami (600 miles both ways). Great value, good amount of interior space, and excellent build quality since it's a Toyota. However, the base engine seemed quite gutless. But then again I'm used to my Trans Am. Mileage was decent as well, and it has a nice driving position. I particularly liked the gauges and steering wheel. Visibility was also excellent. So I guess if you're looking for a car in that price range, you might want to check out the Vibe.

It's a terrible feature! My wife has had her Vibe for a year and it's just started self-locking. Not a problem in a parking lot but not what we want in our own garage - especially if you've left the keys in the car! It only happens with the remote I carry (which I've taken off my key ring) and not hers. Tonight it did it again while we were having supper. Anyone else having this problem?

Who rents a Vibe? I would like to try one for a day. I had been trying to rent a Toyota Matrix, but I guess this would be close enough.
