my saab was transported form the east coast to Denver 2 weeks ago. upon arriving via enclosed truck there is a HORRIBLE odor. i can liken it mostly to crayons, but it smells rather toxic/unhealthy. it just is there unrelated to the car being on or off. any ideas of what that may be???? HELP!!!! nervous to drive it w/ 16 mo old baby.

Sprinkle some baking soda inside car and oder will go away..
Sounds like something was spilled inside the car. Probably on the carpet. I would shampoo the carpets and then also get a good leather cleaner and hope that does the trick. Best of Luck gene
This is probably going to sound pretty crazy, but it has worked for me...
Two things will help eliminate/replace bad odors - vanilla (REAL) and coffee grounds (fresh ground is the best).
I have saturated a cotton cloth with vanilla and placed it on or in a plastic bag under a car seat. Overnight the smell is much better.
Similarly, coffee grounds can be placed in a mesh bag and put under the seat of the car.
Much better smelling car in just a few hours. I like doing the coffee grounds treatment first for a week and then the vanilla.
Has worked great for me in several bad smelling cars.

Peppermint extract works good for organic smells.
Baking soda can help. It will absorb lingering smells. It won't find the source but it will absorb the smell. Fridge deodorisers work using baking soda.
