Climate Control Question

Jul 06, 2003 1 Replies

I had an experience with my climate control display and wish to know if anyone else has experienced the same. When starting the engine the climate control display lit up normally. After a few seconds the fan motor stopped an the only thing on the display was a 0 (zero). I stopped and restarted the engine with the same results. Crossing my fingers I pressed auto and off at the same time to reset/recalibrated the AC system. After the 30 seonds the display returned to normal and it has worked correctly since. I was happy since this happened the morning I was returning from vacation and faced a 500 mile drive without AC if the reset did not work. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Barry

Yes, the ACC system had gone into an auto, auto-calibration, if you see what i mean, the zero displayed was indicating the number of DTC's in the ACC system. There is a software update for the ACC panel to reduce the numbers of auto, auto-calibrations.
